Which to Choose: The Richardson 112 or the Richardson 115?
1. Richardson Hat Profiles
We always point out the profile when choosing between the 112 and the 115. The Richardson 112 is a mid-profile trucker hat, while the Richardson 115 is a low-profile trucker hat. This means the Richardson 115 sits lower on the head than the 112 when worn, making for a snugger fit.

Richardson Sports carries a diverse range of hats that help set the standard for other headwear producers in the industry. The Richardson 112 and the Richardson 115 are two of their most popular hats. Both have a mesh backing for breathability, a snapback for adjustability, and a classic curved bill. The prices are even the same! So, what makes these trucker hats stand apart from each other?

2. Richardson Hat Sizing
The Richardson 115 only offers two different hat sizes for Small (6 1/2 – 7 1/4) and Medium-Large (6 7/8 – 7 5/8) fits. The Richardson 112 offers a one-size-fits-most option, or OSFM, for their hats. Recently, Richardson has expanded the 112’s sizing for some color options! This means the sizes vary between Youth (6 3/8 – 6 5/8), Small (6 1/2 – 7), OSFM (7 – 7 3/4), and Extra-Large(7 1/4 – 7 7/8). However, the four sizes are not available in all colors, so make sure that if you need an appropriate size, you also pick a color that will properly match it.
3. Richardson Hat Colors
Both truckers have a fantastic range of colorways between the two different styles. However, the 112 Classic Trucker hat has many more colors; there are over 100 colorways versus the few dozen colorways of the 115 Low Pro Trucker hat. We must mention that both hats have specific color options unique to each style… so be sure to browse both hat collections for your custom hat order!
4. Richardson Uses Awesome Fabric Blends On Their Headwear
The 115 is a blend of 42% cotton and 53% nylon, while the 112 is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The nylon/polyester blend is better for moisture-wicking, but the cotton/polyester blend is better for breathability. We are happy to suggest which blend works best for you if you aren’t quite sure which blend works best for you.
What Else Can We Do?
Richardson has way more than two styles of trucker hats! If there are other styles you would like to look at, feel free to check out our Richardson hats page to see what other options there are for you. If you have any immediate questions, please send us a quote request.
