Custom Chenille Border Options
Merrow Border
A merrow border is sticker rounded stitch applied to the edge of the patch, that creates a neat frame. Used for a simpler-shaped patch.
Heat Cut Border
A heat cut border (hot cut border) for custom chenille patches is made sealing the edge with heat to remove any loose thread. Great for a more complex shape.
Laser Cut Border
No border option, that uses a laser to cut the patch to its exact boundary. Our least expensive option, and often used in lettermen jackets.
Custom Chenille Backing Options
Paper Backing
We attach simple paper backing to the backside of the patch; we can also use plastic. This adds stiffness to your patch when sewing it into jackets or clothing.
Heat Press or Iron-on Backing
A heat-activated glue is added to the backside of the chenille patch. A great way to easily add to clothing or high school jackets.
Peel & Stick Adhesive Backing
Adhesive backing is a simple sticker backing style. Often used to help hold the patch in place during sewing.
Hook & Loop Backing
Hook and loop backing is the rough and soft side of Velcro on the backside of the patch. Remove and/or add your different patches to vests or backpacks.
